Cute Things Tessa Does

Here's the video of around my finishing time at the Harbor Crossing

Yesterday, Tessa was just a little chatterbox!  She just had so much to say all afternoon, not a lot of it making sense.  She knows lots of words and often puts two together, but she just has so much more to say than that so just kind of blabbers on, nothing really comprehensible.  A lot of times I actually understand what she's asking of what she wants, but pretend that I don't to try to encourage her to explain or enunciate more clearly what she is trying to say.  When we were going to pick up Libby and Reuben from school we got side-tracked right outside the front door.  She saw some dandelions, still in the yellow flower form.  She loves when they become those seeded puff-balls so she can blow them off, but often struggles so much to pick them that most of the fluff is gone before she can blow them away.  Anyway, she know that the flowers turn into the puff-balls so she was picking the flowers and trying to blow the petals away.  She was getting so frustrated when nothing happened and looked at me telling me "not working!"  I then explained to her that she had to wait until they looked like the fluffy ones before she could blow them away.

At the park earlier in the morning she barked about just about every dog that went by.  Not just a little yippy bark either!  She filled herself completely with air and then used it all to make a loud, deep WOOF.  It became a little dangerous/messy when we were home eating yogurt and she heard the neighbors dog barking.  I had to keep reminding her to swallow the yogurt first to avoid a yogurt shower when she was barking.

And on the way to pick up Libby and Reuben up after school she had a lot more to say in the car.  Then she kind of starting singing "Happy Birthday" but really the "...to you..." was the only part I could understand.  So I asked if that's what she was singing and she said yes.  She still thinks it's her birthday even though it was over a month ago now!  So, I helped her out a little bit and at the end she cheered and even made like she was blowing out candles with a big breath!  She didn't miss out any details!   You can tell her mind is constantly working at a faster and faster pace each day.  She doesn't miss ANYTHING!

The other day after her nap she must have been thinking about sheep or her farm book maybe, because the first thing she said when I opened her door was "sheep, sheep....bahhhhh" and that was the beginning and end to our animal discussion!  We usually practice colors as well, and now instead of answering "bue" or blue for every single one, now sometimes she says "geen"  or green for some as well.  At least now she has more of a chance of getting it right!  If you tell her the right answer she'll repeat it though, she always practices repeating what you tell her if it's simple enough.  If not she just says, yup, to agree and move on.
